The hosts lead for the majority of the match and even lead by five goals at half time.

However, Magic captain Jo Harten snared the game winning goal in the dying moments of the game.

The Tactix did have centre pass following Harten's goal but Hayley Saunders was called for not having her foot in the circle during the pass, giving the ball back to the Magic.

Jo Harten lead the shooting statistics for the Magic, she made 35 from 43 attempts, while Mwai Kumwenda was the pick of the Tactix shooters, she made 31 from 35.

The match also saw the return of Silver Ferns midcourter Grace Rasmussen, who amassed 29 feeds and 11 goal assists for the Magic.

The Magic remain on the bottom of the New Zealand ladder while the Tactix are in second.
