The 2016 men's ASB Tennis Classic in Auckland will feature the strongest field in the event's history.
The tournament's top nine seeds are all within the best 30 in the world, with Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, American John Isner, South African Kevin Anderson and Frenchman Benoit Paire rounding out the top four.
Four-time champion David Ferrer has been given a wildcard for the tournament but would only feature if he loses in the first two rounds of the Doha event he's playing in the week before.
ASB Classic tournament director Karl Budge said the event continues to build a strong reputation among the players.
"There's no reason why we can't be the tournament that provides the best preparation for (The Australian Open).
"I think that's what we are doing and I think the players turning up is vindicating that."
Budge said having the final seeded player being inside the top 60 in the world would make it hard to better the following year.
