Gaining a contract in the cricket's lucrative Indian Premier League, could spur former Black Cap Lou Vincent to re-launch his international career.
Four New Zealand players, Vincent, Shane Bond, Nathan McCullum and Grant Elliot have been included on the IPL player auction list.
The initial list of 96 players has been whittled down to 51, with up to 20 of those expected to gain contracts.
Vincent, who's back playing for Auckland, last played a test for New Zealand more than two years ago before signing with the rebel ICL competition.
He says making the initial cut is pleasing but there's still some way to go in the process and believes his international history helped him make the cut.
Vincent, who's now 31, says returning to international cricket is at the back of his mind but he'll wait to see how things pan out over the next year.
