Auckland qualified for their fifth consecutive OFC final after beating newcomers FC Gaitcha of New Caledonia 1-nil in their semi-final in Suva, while Team Wellington are through to their first ever final after downing host side Ba FC of Fiji 2-nil.

Marko Dordevic headed home a free kick for the defending champions in the 70th minute with Auckland coach Ramon Tribulietx a relieved man.

He says they created a lot of chances, but didn't capitalise so the game ends up in a situation where one little mistake can cost you a goal and the semi-final - so there was a bit of pressure there, a bit of nerves and that's understandable.

"I think in some respects for us it came down to maybe a bit of a lack of freshness but we created a decent amount of chances that unfortunately we didn't capitalise on with a goal."

"Obviously as the game goes on they've got a chance and there's a few nerves in there but we managed to keep playing in the same way in the second jalf and created that chance that gave us the win."

In the second match Team Wellington struck early to cement a spot in their first OFC Champions League in front of a near full-house at ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The Wellington players were direct and decisive as they applied pressure from the outset and coach Matt Calcott was pleased his side were able to make themselves comfortable so early into the match.

Michael Gwyther missed from the penalty spot early on, but then headed home from corners in the 11th and 16th minutes.

Calcott says sometimes these games, and the whole tournament so far, have just been a war of attrition and there's some great stuff and some great performances from the boys.

The 2015 OFC Champions League final is in Suva on Sunday night.

Auckland has won the title 6 times having never lost a final, while Team Wellington are competing in the competiton for the first time.

The winner qualifies for the Club World Cup.
