Paddon spun on a bend and collided with a rock, damaging his rear suspension.

After being pulled from the stage, Paddon's team will repair the damage in time for the 27-year-old to rejoin the rally for its third day.

Paddon bemoaned the incident on Twitter.

"It is a shame as car was very nice to drive and was starting to get in the groove. Will rejoin tomorrow," he tweeted.

Paddon was in 10th after the first three stages, but has now fallen to 22nd.
