Haskell says he'll be fit to play ABs

The England forward James Haskell says he will be fit to play the All Blacks next week in London despite a meningitis scare which required hospital treatment.

Haskell lost five kilograms in a week after being struck down with a virus at the start of the month saying he's never been so ill in his life.

Haskell returned to training earlier this week and says he'll be extremely disappointed if his recent illness has a bearing on whether or not he's selected.

He says tests showed it wasn't bacterial meningitis but doctors thought it might have been viral.

Haskell says he normally eats five or six meals a day but was struggling to get through one or two and lost five kilos in a week.

England's rugby squad to take on the All Blacks next month has suffered another blow with centre Luther Burrell unlikely to be fit for the match at Twickenham on the 8th of November.

Head coach Stuart Lancaster says Burrell has an injured right hand which has prevented him from training so far this week, and Lancaster says even if he was able to rejoin the camp next week, he wouldn't be up to speed.

Already sidelined for the whole of next month is fellow centre Manu Tuilangi with a groin injury.

The former Hurricanes and Crusaders loose forward Thomas Waldrom has been added to the England squad ahead of next week's Test at Twickenham.

Waldrom, who's 31 years old, played the last of his five Tests for England against Ireland in 2013, has been out of favour with the England selectors in recent times but has been included due to several injury problems in the England side.

England play the All Blacks, South Africa, Samoa and Australia on successive weekends next month with a 41-strong squad preparing for those games.

Waldrom moved to England in 2010 and now plays for Exeter, having previously been with Leceister.
