New Zealand shot putter Valerie Adams has recorded a 56th straight victory by winning the Diamond League meet in Brussels.

Adams hurled the shot 20.59 metres, to win by 73 centimetres from her German rival Christina Schwanitz, who threw 19.86 metres.
It's also a record for the Belgian meet.
