Warriors come from behind to beat Penrith

6:10 am on 30 June 2014

The Warriors have beaten the Penrith Panthers 30-20 in their National Rugby League clash in Auckland.

Early tries to Konrad Hurrell and Manu Vatuvei got the hosts out to a 12-nil lead, but they went into the break trailing 16-12 after three Penrith tries.

However the Warriors took back the lead early in the second half through the captain, Simon Mannering, before Hurrell and Shaun Johnson scored another try each to seal the win.

The coach, Andrew McFadden, says he's pleased with how his squad responded after a poor end to the first half.

The result ends the Panthers six game winning streak and puts the Warriors in the top eight.
