Melbourne Storm back on course with win over Gold Coast

The Melbourne Storm got their National Rugby League campaign back on track on Monday night with a thrilling 24-20 win over Gold Coast.

Both teams were well short of full strength with several players injured or on State of Origin duty, and the Storm came home the stronger,scoring two tries in the last 10 minutes to win before the second smallest crowd of the season at just 6,500.

Melbourne improve to ninth place on thge table, while Gold Coast remain 13th.

The Warriors are 11th, but in a tight competition they're only six points behind the leaders.
