Nicky Samuels has been nominated by Triathlon New Zealand for selection for the individual event for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Samuels was initially named in the team as a reserve for the Mixed Team Relay but was not named in the individual event.
She appealed and Triathlon New Zealand reviewed her case.
The New Zealand Olympic Committee still has to consider her nomination with a decision expected next week.
Triathlon NZ High Performance Director Graeme Maw says after reconsideration they are now satisfied Samuels has the potential for a top 6 finish.
Samuels says she's pleased with the nomination and she knew in her heart that her results were good enough to be in the team.
