The Brumbies are chasing their former coach Jake White, claiming $27,000 after the South African broke his contract with the Super Rugby franchise last year.
A Brumbies spokesman has confirmed they've taken legal steps against White after he walked out on them for the Sharks last year.
Under White's four-year agreement with the Brumbies, he was not allowed to coach another Super Rugby side until the end of 2015.
White's departure triggered a non-completion clause and owed the Brumbies nearly $215,000, most of which has been paid by the Sharks.
