Anderson's poor IPL form continues

The Black Caps cricketer Corey Anderson's tepid form in the Indian Premier League has continued as his side Mumbai were resigned to a six-wicket loss to Kolkata in Cuttack.

All-rounder Anderson's bowling has been expensive so far in the tournament, so much so that he wasn't called on to bowl a single ball in Mumbai's defeat.

He contributed 18 runs off 12 balls with the bat but again failed to kick on to a big score as Mumbai reached 141 for five off their 20 overs.

Kolkata chased down the total with six wickets and just over an over to spare.

Mumbai are second to last in the eight-team competition, while Kolkata sit fourth.

Punjab rejoined Chennai at the top of the table with a six-wicket win over Hyderabad.
