McCullum's IPL side knocked off top of the table

The Black Caps cricket captain Brendon McCullum's Indian Premier League team Chennai have been leapfrogged at the top of the table by Punjab after falling to a 44 run defeat in Cuttack.

McCullum scored 33 runs in the heavy loss, which knocked the Stephen Fleming coached Chennai off the their perch and lifted Punjab to first place, level on points with Chennai but ahead on net run rate.

Punjab have also played one less game than Chennai.

Black Cap Ross Taylor's Delhi remain rooted to the bottom of the table after an 8 wicket home loss to Kolkata, though Taylor again didn't make the playing 11.
