Marshall claims he's learned a lot in failed rugby experiment

The failed rugby convert Benji Marshall says he'll take plenty of positives out of his time at the Blues despite failing to make an impact on the field.

Marshall has been released from his contract with the Super Rugby franchise and will attempt a return in the NRL this year.

He says working with the coach Sir John Kirwan has taught him a lot he can apply as he tries to resurrect his rugby league career.

The Cronulla Sharks are favourites to sign the playmaker after reportedly tabling a three-year-deal for the former Kiwi, however Marshall says he's yet to speak to any NRL clubs.
