The 20 year old Texan Jordan Spieth has a chance to become the youngest winner of the Masters after moving into a share of the lead during Sunday's third round.

Spieth hit a two under par 70 to climb from third to a tie for first with 2012 champion Bubba Watson.

In just his first tournament at the Augusta National golf course, the plucky twenty year old hit four birdies and two bogies to be five under par overall.

It was also moving day for Amercican Matt Kuchar who picked up four strokes for a share of second at four under with the Swede Jonas Blixt.

Meanwhile, the 50 year old Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez also proved age is no barrier by hitting the tournament low round of 66 to surge into a share of third.

Jiminez was on fire hitting seven birdies and a bogie to finish tied with American Ricky Fowler at three under for the tournament.
