The former England cricket captain Andrew Flintoff has called for the Decision Review System to be scrapped and defended the players who were pictured smoking after the Ashes were secured.
An Australian television report has suggested that Australian and England batsmen have have been fooling HotSpot by placing silicone tape on their bats to defeat the thermal-imaging technology used by the DRS to detect bat-on-ball impact.
It is the latest in a long series of DRS issues to have arisen during the Ashes series.
Flintoff says he's never been a fan of technology being used from the outset and believes it shoudl be scrapped althogether.
Flintoff has also defended players Joe Root, Tim Bresnan and Graeme Swann were shown with cigarettes in hand wit the Ashes urn in the Daily Mail.
It also emerged that spinner Monty Panesar has been fined by police for urinating while drunk on the heads of nightclub bouncers in Brighton.
Flintoff says that was a surprise to him as when he was playing alongside him Panesar didn't drink.
