On the eve of the deciding cricket Test in Wellington there's still a question mark over the fitness of India's captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to lead the side at the Basin Reserve.

India's coach Gary Kirsten wasn't prepared to make a prediction about Dhoni's playing prospects on Wednesday, although he came through that practice sesssion well.

Commentators during the Napier Test, which Dhoni missed because of an 11th-hour back injury, agreed that India seemed to lack leadership without him.
