The Stade Francais rugby halfback Jerome Fillol has been banned for 14 weeks for spitting at Bath's Peter Stringer during a match last weekend.
A 26-week sanction was dramatically reduced after Fillol expressed remorse and the judicial officer took into account his exemplary disciplinary record and strong character references.
