Ashraful plays heroic innings in Galle

Mohammad Ashraful has become the highest-scoring Bangladeshi batsman in test cricket after an unbeaten 189 on the third day of the first test against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Ashraful and his captain Mushfiqur Rahim, who also made a career best score of 152 not out, combined in a record partnership for their country of 261 as Bangladesh reached 438 for four replying to Sri Lanka's first innings of 570-4 declared.

It's Ashraful's first test after a 15-month absence, and it was his sixth test match century.
