The former Hurricanes halfback Chris Eaton has joined the Western Force on a short-term contract for the 2013 Super Rugby season.
The 28-year-old comes into the squad as cover for the Wallaby scrumhalf Brett Sheehan, who is out with an ankle injury.
Eaton joins fellow New Zealander Alby Mathewson and Mick Snowden as the current halfback options for the club.
Eaton's contract with the Force will extend until Sheehan is available to resume his place in the playing squad.
