The Caulfield track manager Jason Kerr says his course will be in perfect order for the Caulfield Cup in Melbourne but he will not be doing the international horses any special favours.
Kerr says he expects to have the track rated firm for the meeting and is aware that may not delight some of the European stables.
The rail will be moved out six metres and the surface will receive about 15 millimetres of water before race day.
Kerr says some of the Europeans preferred softer tracks, but the policy in Australia was to have a firm rating.
