Australia's world champion freestyle swimmer James Magnussen may attempt the sprint double in London later this year after surprising himself by winning the 50 metres title at the Olympic trials in Adelaide.
Magnussen clocked a personal best in the event he'd considered as "just a bit of fun", but it may now become a serious part of his London Games.
The 20-year-old finished the trials unbeaten in six races, improving his times with each win.
