Farmers have got plenty to say about falling lamb prices, but wool prices at least are holding firm.
Exporter Wool Services International reports that all the wools on offer at this week's South Island sale gained a little more ground.
Coarse cross bred prices were firm to slightly dearer, and fine cross-bred and lambs wools fetched up to 3% more.
A small offering of mid-micron wool sold for up to 7% more.
Almost 90% of the more than 9000 bales up for auction were sold.
