Police in South Auckland are continuing to hunt for the attackers of a man left critically injured.
The 19-year-old was assaulted early on Friday morning on Jolson Road in the suburb of Mt Wellington.
Police say the assault followed an altercation with people in two passing vehicles, one of which is described as a green or dark-coloured Subaru station-wagon.
The man has serious head injuries and is in a drug-induced coma at Auckland Hospital.
