A 59-year-old man has been charged with murder after the death of a woman near Dunedin last month.

A 53-year-old woman was found dead at her house on Coast Road in Seacliff, 30km north of Dunedin, on the morning of 8 March.
A 59-year-old man was also found seriously injured in nearby Truby King Reserve, and a firearm was found in the reserve.
The accused man will be appearing before a judge at a hospital bedside hearing today.
