A shot was fired at a school bus full of students in the Waikato town of Morrinsville yesterday.
The bus was leaving Morrinsville College on its drop-off run when it was fired at yesterday afternoon.
One of the bus's windows shattered.
The bus was full of a mix of primary school and high school students from a number of local schools.
Morrinsville College principal John Inger said the pellet left a hole in the window and part of the window shattered as the bus drove on.
He said children had to be moved away from the window but nobody was injured, although some of the younger children would have been frightened.
No children were injured.
It is not known what type of gun was fired.
Police and the Ministry of Education are investigating.
