Armed police have cordoned off an address after a man with a gunshot wound went to a police station in south Auckland.
The 30-year old man appeared at the Papakura Police Station about 3.45pm with a serious leg injury.
He was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
The Armed Offenders Squad and a police helicopter were being used to surround an address in south Auckland, but the police were not releasing further information.
