Worksafe is investigating the death of a farm worker in a quad bike crash this week in central Hawke's Bay.
Waipukurau police say emergency services were alerted at 9pm on Tuesday after the man failed to return from work at the farm on Hautope Road in Waipawa.
The body of the 69-year-old was found later that night.
The police serious crash unit and Worksafe are investigating, and the death has been referred to the coroner.
Seven other people have died in quad bike crashes this year, the youngest a six-year-old girl.
