Trains in Auckland have started moving again after being suspended on three of the city's four lines.
A fault on a train at Otahuhu at 8.16am shut down the Southern, Eastern and Onehunga lines - to the frustration of travellers.
@AklTransport thanks for charging me to stand on the platform and train for 40 minutes going nowhere. Where are the replacement buses???

@AklTransport "South & East train services are suspended, see station board for details." Boards show trains running, just late. WTF?

Rail shuttles were put on between Onehunga and Penrose and on the Eastern line between Otahuhu & Orakei and The Strand.
Auckland Transport said it had to reset the Southern and Eastern lines and services were in a "catch up" phase.
The agency was expecting all services to return to normal by 11am.
The train that broke down has been recovered.
