An alleged sexual predator - who has been accused of a significant number of historic offences over almost 20 years - was arrested in Taranaki today.
A 36-year-old Hawera man is accused of offences that occurred from 1993 through to 2012 in Hawera, Otorohanga and Te Awamutu.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brent Matuku saidd the majority of offending happened in the Waikato in the 1990s and there were at least 10 victims know to police.
The victims include males and females, some of whom were family members.
Detective Senior Sergeant Matuku said the known victims were relieved the man was being held to account for his actions.
The man is due to appear in the New Plymouth District Court tomorrow.
