Police have named the man killed in a multiple stabbing in Wellington on Wednesday night.
Noel Hudson Garratt, 67, known as Hudson to friends and family, was killed and four others were injured in the incident in Johnsonville, in Wellington's north.

And four charges of assault with a weapon have been filed in the Wellington District Court against a 25-year-old woman in connection with the incident.
Police said further charges were anticipated pending the outcome of more inquiries.
They said a court hearing may be held later today at Hutt hospital where the woman is recovering from dog bite injuries received during her arrest.
A nine-year-old boy injured during the incident is still recovering in Wellington hospital and is in a stable condition.
Three other victims have since been discharged.
Detective senior sergeant, John Van Den Heuvel, of Wellington CIB said there was still a lot of work to be done regarding the ongoing investigation.
"Police's current focus is on supporting the victims and their families, who have asked that the media please allow them the privacy to grieve during this very difficult, and tragic time."
Mr Van Den Heuvel said police were unable to comment on the specifics of the charged woman's relationship with the family members at the house.
He said police were not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
The incident centred on a property on the corner of Broderick Road and Old Coach Road in Johnsonville just before 9pm on Wednesday night.
Police said they were called by a woman from the house, and found four people with stab wounds including Mr Garratt who died shortly after they arrived.
