Police have cordoned off an area in the Wellington suburb of Karori after a man threatened a woman on her doorstep this morning.
Police say the woman fled the house in Collier Avenue, and they believe the man is armed.
Six vehicles and police dogs have been deployed to the suburb, where they are looking for a man wearing dark clothing, of solid build and average height, and possibly carrying a bag.
