Auckland police in Auckland are trying to identify a man found dead on a beach in Orewa this morning.
A member of the public found the man near the cliffs on the northern end of the beach just after 7.30.
The body appears to be of an Asian man in his 20s, who was wearing black trackpants, a hooded sweatshirt and orange socks.
The man has no form of identification on him, and police were still treating the death as unexplained.
