A 56-year-old Invercargill man has been taken to Southland Hospital in a serious condition after he was found at his home with head injuries.
Police said the man was found at the Thomson Street house at about 7pm last night.
A forensic team is expected to be at the address for several days, trying to find out how the man was injured.
The police would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious near the house on Friday afternoon.
