A Timaru port worker has been taken to hospital after injuring his back today.
He is believed to be in the Spinal Unit at Burwood Hospital in Christchurch.
A spokesperson for Maritime New Zealand, Sarah Brazil, said the man was injured while he was unloading a container.
Maritime New Zealand is investigating.
