A 19-year-old woman has been critically injured in a shooting in Waikato.
Emergency services were called to a Russell Avenue property in Te Aroha, just after 1pm on Saturday.
They found the woman had wounds to her chest and leg which the police believe came from single shot.
She is in a critical but stable condition in Waikato Hospital.
Police say it is too early to speculate about what might have happened.
They say they are speaking to several people at the address and not looking for anyone else.
