A person escaped serious injury in a boat fire that extensively damaged a launch in Northland.
Emergency services were called to Rangitane wharf in the Kerikeri Inlet just after 10.30am on THursday.
The Fire Service said the launch was well on fire when crews arrived, but has since been brought under control.
Their concern now is fuel leaking from the boat into the inlet.
