Botany MP Jami-Lee Ross says he has given his proxy vote in Parliament to his former party, National.

In a tweet he wrote that he appreciated the messages of support he has received recently and said he was grateful for the care he received at Middlemore Hospital.
He said he remains on leave based on medical advice.
