A new political poll has seen Labour's support rise six points to 31 percent - while National's support also grew.

It is the first TVNZ political poll since before last year's General Election in September.

Labour leapt six points on the previous poll and its election result to 31 percent.

National was up four points on the previous poll at 49 percent, although the party got 47 percent at the General Election.

In the poll the Greens are on 10 percent, and New Zealand First six - both down two points on TVNZ's September poll.

Although those two parties got 11 and nine percent of the vote at the General Election respectively.

The One News Colmar Brunton poll surveyed 1000 eligible voters in mid-February and has a margin or error of plus or minus 3.1 points.
