Indonesia's President Joko Widodo says he will invite prominent Papuans to his palace in the wake of the recent violence there.
The president's office says an invitation will go out to traditional, community, and religious leaders.
Jokowi says the meeting will discuss ways to accelerate prosperity in Papua and West Papua provinces.
The president also said he has ordered the chief of the Indonesian National Police to take firm action over racial and ethnic discrimination.
He has defended the internet blackout in Papua, saying it was done for the sake of national interest.

But Reporters Without Borders say the blackout violates the freedom to inform and makes it hard for journalists to work.
RSF says journalists reporting in the field have been finding it extremely difficult to transmit their stories, photos and video, and to contact their news organisations and sources.
It said cutting internet access prevents journalists from covering the situation and encourages rumours, and it could fuel instability in the region.
