A student internship programme in Dunedin has spread into more of the city's business sectors.
Dunedin City Council's Sexy Summer Jobs programme uses a speed dating-style technique to interview students.
The programme has tripled in size in three years to match 69 interns with 37 local companies.
A council economic development adviser, Graham Strong, says the first internships were in the computer industry, but this summer they have branched out to include film, fashion, biotechnology and Maori business.
