Emergency services are swarming a central Wellington street, which has been closed to the public.
Police were called to an incident on Willis Street at 3.30pm, and say the road is now shut between Manners and Dixon streets.
An RNZ reporter at the scene said firefighters used a crane to reach the upper levels of a building, where an orange tarpaulin has been put up.
FENZ confirmed they're "assisting police".
Six police cars and ambulances were also at the scene.
The public has been asked to avoid the area.
The Arborist bar, which is in the building, has put up a sign saying it would be closed for the rest of the day.
More to come...
