An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire at a rural Marlborough property, which was previously searched by police for missing woman Jessica Boyce.
The fire tore through dozens of vehicles and rubbish on the rural property in Canvastown, half way between Nelson and Blenheim, on Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to the property on Te Hora Pa Rd about 9.50am where it was understood at least 25 cars and four buses were on fire.

It took crews from 11 stations, along with a helicopter, hours to bring the fires under control. There were no injuries or damage to buildings.
A fire investigator spent several hours at the scene on Wednesday afternoon.
Boyce was last seen on 19 March 2019 in Renwick, near Blenheim, and her disappearance was originally treated as a missing persons case.

In October 2019, police formally began treating her disappearance as a homicide.
The 27-year-old was last seen driving west past the Woodbourne Air Force base on State Highway 6 in her mother's red ute with a male passenger.
The ute was found three days later on the road leading to Lake Chalice in Mount Richmond Forest Park with Boyce's broken glasses hidden inside and a necklace she reportedly never took off hanging from the rearview mirror.
A male profile of DNA on the glasses was unable to be matched but the female DNA sample was confirmed as being from Boyce.
Her body has never been found and police have offered a $100,000 reward for credible information relating to her disappearance.
A police spokesperson said there was nothing at this stage to link the fire to Boyce's death and it would liaise with Fire and Emergency if it believed the fire was suspicious.
