Two people have been seriously injured in a crash in the East Coast region.
The two-vehicle accident happened just after 7:50am at the intersection of Riverpoint Road and Wharerata Road, Matawhero.
Wharerata Road was currently closed, police advising motorists to avoid the area and expect delays.
