A New Zealand woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her conspiracy theorist podcaster partner in Australia's Perth.

The 30-year-old known as Ali Lauren was allegedly stabbed to death by her fiancé Tobias Nuttall, 32, at her Bassendean home on August 20, 7 News reported.

Lauren had been rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition but later died.

7 News said it had chosen not to publish Lauren's full name.

Nuttall had since appeared in Midland Magistrates Court after being arrested.

He had been the co-host of a podcast called Waking World which was described as featuring "the occult and spirituality".

Episodes covered the John F Kennedy assassination, MK Ultra, Zionism and Covid-19.

Lauren had appeared on one of the episodes of the podcast and discussed growing up in New Zealand before moving to Australia, and her experience working in the sex industry.

She said she moved from New Zealand at the age of 10 because her parents wanted a better life for her family.

On August 20, Nuttall's co-host Dale Penny said of his absence on the podcast: "There's nothing wrong with Toby... we won't do one with Toby tonight, it will be tomorrow".

Nuttall is due to face the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on September 17.
