Heavy showers are expected across Auckland on Saturday evening, but previous thunderstorm warnings have been lifted.
MetService said a severe thunderstorm doused eastern Auckland in the afternoon, but it weakened and moved into the northern Firth of Thames.
Forecasters are monitoring the situation, but say no further storms are expected for Auckland Saturday.
