Police are investigating a sudden death that occurred in Hamilton on Thursday afternoon.
They were called to an address on Cook St, Hamilton East, about 5.30pm. There they found a 62-year-old deceased male.
"An altercation had taken place at the address prior to the death," police said in a statement on Friday, noting an investigation was underway.
"At this stage [the death is] being treated as unexplained."
Police said anyone on Cook St at the time, or that has information about the incident, should contact them immediately on 105 and quote file number 231221/8772.
