SkyCity in central Auckland was robbed this afternoon by a man who said he was armed.
Police were called to the casino at 12.30pm after the man demanded cash from staff.
The man insinuated he had a weapon, police said.
He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
"SkyCity can confirm there was an incident earlier today when a person, claiming to be armed, demanded money from staff at the Auckland casino," a SkyCity spokesperson said.
"Impacted staff are being offered support," they said, and referred all questions on the robbery to police.
