Police are continuing to investigate reports of gunshot sounds in East Auckland last night.
A team responded to a report of a firearm being discharged on Jolson Road in the suburb of Mt Wellington about 11pm.
Several occupants at the identified address were interviewed and a guard was put in place at the scene overnight.
Police have not said the incident is gang related but it is understood the headquarters for the Auckland Black Power New Zealand chapter is on Jolson Road.
No injuries have been reported.
