Waitematā Police have arrested a second person in relation to a serious assault in Warkworth earlier this month which left a man in critical condition.
A 19-year-old male has been charged with assault with intent to injure and is due to appear in North Shore District Court tomorrow.
A man was found seriously injured on the side of the road after a report of a verbal altercation on 9 December. He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
A 21-year-old man was previously arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and injuring with intent to injure.
